The 10-man rotation, starring the Warriors' insistence that their new arena won't look like a toilet

A look around the league and the Web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.

C: Bay Area News Group. After wide swaths of the Internet responded to the designs for the Golden State Warriors' proposed San Francisco arena by noting that the thing looks like a toilet, Diamond Leung brings us the Dubs' response. In short: "I guess that's the perils of the Internet … It will be pretty cool and people will like it." Some people already do! (These people like toilets and things that look like toilets.)

PF: Complex Sports. In other "LOL/fail" news, the Oklahoma City Thunder, a team with a boring nickname/logo/color scheme, announced that its recently moved and rebranded D-League affiliate will be called the Oklahoma City Blue, and a lot of funny people on Twitter made a lot of jokes about this new boring nickname/logo/color scheme.

SF: D.C. Sports Bog. The Washington Wizards need a new person to play their mascot, G-Wiz/G-Man, because the guy who previously inhabited the role, Aidan Charlery, has accepted an offer to go to North Carolina to play Hugo, the recently reintroduced mascot of the Charlotte Hornets. One wonders if this will kick off a mascot arms race and, if so, just what kind of raise The Raptor should ask for.

SG: Sports on Earth. Seerat Sohi on how the shortcomings in Monty Williams' schemes on both ends of the floor last year wound up promoting even more development from emerging star Anthony Davis.

PG: Hardwood Paroxysm. Good stuff from William Bohl on the value of transition 3-pointers to an offense, the teams that use this particular long ball most and lease frequently/effectively, and the different ways in which different players tend to line up their on-the-break looks.

6th: Grantland. Jonathan Abrams on Kyle Lowry, trust, growth and the chance to build something big in Toronto.

7th: Bright Side of the Sun. Last year's Phoenix Suns shocked damn near everybody by coming within one win of the Western Conference playoffs in a season where they were expected to vie for the No. 1 overall pick. Whether they'll be as successful this year remains to be seen, but as Dave King notes, general manager Ryan McDonough has stacked Jeff Hornacek's roster with an awful lot of players who seem likely to be in their prime this season.

8th: Beyond the Arc. Kevin Lipe tries to figure out why the Memphis Grizzlies are bringing Michael Beasley to training camp on a non-guaranteed deal, and the chances that the former No. 2 overall draft pick will stick with the Grizz through the start of the season.

9th: The Triangle. Zach Lowe on the parameters of the potential payday Kemba Walker could command, and the question of whether the Charlotte Hornets want to be the ones footing the bill.

10th: Mavs Moneyball. A chat with Geoff Case, the fan whose skyline-inspired design just became the Dallas Mavericks' new alternate uniform. (For more, noted aesthetic mathematician Trey Kerby of The Starters broke down Case's winning kit.)
