Furyk, Mahan win a decisive point against Westwood, Donaldson

(AP Photo/Scott Heppell) Jim Furyk has lost more Ryder Cup matches than anyone else, but that's a stat with two sides: you've got to be a good enough player during the other 103 weeks between Ryders to be named to that many teams. Furyk and Hunter Mahan showed why they belong on the US team on Saturday morning, putting a decisive 4&3 win on the board against Lee Westwood and Jamie Donaldson.

"We wanted to get off to a good start and keep pressure on them," Mahan said afterward, "and we did that today."

Furyk began looking forward, putting the disappointment of Friday in the rear-view mirror. "Today is a fresh day," he said. "We have to have a solid two sessions today to get in position for the singles."

Furyk and Mahan drew Sergio Garcia and Rory McIlroy for the afternoon session. So, congratulations?
