When Cal beat Colorado 59-56 in double overtime Saturday afternoon, it marked the first Pac-12 win for the Golden Bears since October 13, 2012 – a span of 16 consecutive conference games. The win improved Sonny Dykes’ squad to 3-1 and was a great way for the team to bounce back from last Saturday’s heartbreaking loss on a Hail Mary on the road to Arizona.
Predictably, the post-game locker room was a joyous scene:
When addressing his team, Dykes said that he could feel Ted Agu on the sidelines with them throughout the game. Agu, a former defensive end for the team, passed away in February after a conditioning drill.
The Bears will look to build off the win as it moves forward in Pac-12 play. Next on the schedule is a road contest with Washington State on Saturday night.
