In this space, we'll try to find the funniest and goofiest tweets of the day. If you see something, don't hesitate to send it to us.
After teasing fans and players for months, Miami unveiled four new interchangeable uniform combinations in April. The school showed off the variety of different combinations of pants, jerseys and helmets the players could wear on gameday on a specially-made website, but Wednesday, the Canes finally gave us a closer look at two of the team’s more intriguing options.
Let me introduce to you the “juice” and “surge” helmets. They are beauties.
White “stormtrooper” and gray “smoke” helmets are also at the Hurricanes’ disposal and the ‘Canes’ official Twitter account tweeted to ESPN’s Darren Rovell that “players and coaches will decide” the uniform combinations prior to each game.
They have a quite a collection to choose from.
The new uniforms are still representative of the classic Miami look, but at the same time, they have a sharp, modern feel. Uniforms can be a big deal to players and recruits, as evidenced by the team’s reaction to the uniform reveal back in April.
Miami, in its fourth season under Al Golden, will kick off the 2014 season with a Monday night matchup at Louisville – the Cardinals’ first game in the ACC.
