Serbian winger Lazar Markovic made his Liverpool debut against Olympiakos in Chicago and wasted little time in showing why Premier League stewards should be afraid of him. In the 37th minute, Markovic, who joined Liverpool from Benfica in a £20 million deal, squeezed past two defenders before finding space in the box to get a shot off. The 20-year-old tried to curl it into the top corner, but put a little too much on his shot and ended up plonking a steward facing the other direction right in the back of the head.
Liverpool won 1-0 thanks to a Raheem Sterling goal in the fifth minute and Anfield employees all went out and bought helmets after watching the match.
