Even with one score called back, Odell Beckham scored three touchdowns in the New York Giants' win over the Washington Redskins.
The way he's playing, can he steal the Rookie of the Year award from the slew of other impressive rookie receivers?
Beckham caught a nice fade pass for his first score — nothing like his two-fingered grab, mind you, but a solid catch, even on the Beckham Meter.
For his next score, Beckham ran a post, faked out the entire Redskins secondary and burned his way to the end zone for score No. 2.
Beckham appeared to catch his third TD on a 30-yard would-be catch, but it was ruled incomplete.
No worries. Beckham snagged Actual No. 3 on a quick slant in the red zone, finishing off his touchdown with a fancy little spin dance routine.
For the game, he totaled 12 catches for 143 yards and the three scores.
So here's your updated receiving numbers for Kelvin Benjamin, Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans, Jarvis Landry and Beckham through Week 15:
Name | Receptions | Yards | Avg. | TDs |
Benjamin | 67 | 952 | 14.2 | 9 |
Watkins | 59 | 850 | 14.4 | 5 |
Evans | 59 | 948 | 16.1 | 11 |
Landry | 71 | 672 | 9.5 | 5 |
Beckham | 71 | 972 | 13.7 | 9 |
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews enters Sunday night's game with 56 catches for 709 yards and seven scores, so he's right in the mix, too.
But the fact that Beckham has compiled his stats through only 10 games, missing time early on with a hamstring injury, makes his season all the more impressive.
