Joey Fatone will lead 'world's largest pillow fight' at South Dakota-South Dakota State game

You probably won’t pay much attention to this weekend’s rivalry game between South Dakota and South Dakota State. But what if I told you former *NSYNC member Joey Fatone would be leading a pillow fight during the game?

Yeah. I bet you’re interested now.

This isn’t a joke. According to the Argus Leader of Sioux Falls, Fatone will lead the “world’s largest pillow fight.”

The pillow fight, which is sponsored by Super 8, will take place after the first quarter concludes. At that point, “Fatone will throw the first pillow,” and then “the rest of the fight will occur in the grandstands.”

These South Dakotans will attempt to break the Guinness World Record, which was set last year in Chicago with 3,813 participants.

The South Dakota-South Dakota State rivalry dates all the way back to 1889. This year’s game will be held at SDSU’s Coughlin-Alumni Stadium on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT, this time with 100 percent more Joey Fatone.
