Georgia Tech's Justin Thomas might have scored a touchdown. But if he did, the officials didn't see it.
Thomas attempted to run the ball in from two yards out in the third quarter against Georgia on Saturday but as he was swallowed up by Georgia's defense, Damian Swann ripped the ball from his arms and returned it 99 yards for a touchdown.
It's inconclusive if Thomas actually got into the end zone or if he was down at all when the ball was ripped out, but it's apparent that he had the ball taken from his grasp after his forward progress had been stopped. However, no whistles were blown and the play continued until Swann scored.
The touchdown was an incredible swing in the game. If Thomas would have scored, Georgia Tech would have taken a 14-7 lead. Instead, the Bulldogs grabbed the lead by a score.
It was also the game's third goal-line fumble. Before Georgia Tech coughed it up near the end zone, Georgia's Nick Chubb and Sony Michel each fumbled.
