The only goal of the Polish Ekstraklasa match between Lechia Gdansk and Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biala was an odd one. In the 29th minute, Podbeskidzie B-B keeper Richard Zajac received a simple backpass from one of his defenders and took a moment too long to decide what he wanted to do with it. This allowed Lechia midfielder Maciej Makuszewski to get right in front of him. Zajac decided not to let this deter his plans, though. So he kicked the ball off of Makuszewski's face, causing it to trickle into his own net.
Makuszewski was credited with the easiest goal of his career, Lechia won 1-0, and Zajac somehow managed to make a mistake worse than his haircut.
The new season has only just begun, leaving plenty of time for everyone to not forget that this happened.
