The controversial referee decisions have been frequent in this World Cup, but it Howard Webb got a big one right in the second half of Brazil's round of 16 match against Chile. With the score even at 1-1, the 2010 World Cup final ref who let Nigel De Jong's kick to Xabi Alonso chest go unpunished, called back Hulk go-ahead goal for Brazil with a handball call.

Replays showed what appeared to be Hulk trapping the ball between his bicep and chest as he tried to bring it down to get the shot off, indicating that Webb got the difficult decision right in real time and with a stadium full of frustrated Brazilians surrounding him.

Webb booked Hulk for the offense, which might have been a bit much, but with that goal disallowed, the score remained 1-1 through the end of the second half, sending the match to extra time.
