J.J. Watt makes another MVP play

J.J. Watt is so good, he's even immune to the Sports Illustrated jinx.

This week's SI cover boy put in another highlight play as he strengthens his bid to be the first defensive player to win NFL MVP since 1986. This time, it came from the receiver position.

With the Texans near the goal line, Watt motioned out wide. If you need any clue of what the Texans think about Watt as a player, they called a fade route to him in the end zone. That's a route that's a low-percentage play even for most NFL receivers.

Ryan Mallett threw it up to Watt, and the behemoth walled off his defender and made an athletic play, catching the ball and getting down in bounds for the score.

It was Watt's fourth touchdown, and his second on offense. He caught a touchdown against Oakland earlier this year. Watt has more offensive touchdowns than A.J. Green, Calvin Johnson and LeSean McCoy, among others.

Each week, there are fewer and fewer reason to vote for anyone other than Watt as the MVP.
