Have you ever wanted to see how a stadium gets built — in two minutes?
During the course of the past two years, Baylor filmed the building of McLane Stadium, which will host its first game this weekend, and then created a 2-minute time lapse video that is absolutely spectacular.
From the framing to the laying down of field turf, few key parts of the building process are missed and the results are pretty stunning.
One of the things you won’t see in the video is the installation of a Wi-Fi network that will allow all patrons to use portable devices from their seats as well as an in-game app that provides all the information about the players on the field as well as multiple-angle replays.
It’s fair to say Baylor has made the blueprint for new college football stadiums in the future.
