LSU went to Houston to play Wisconsin on Saturday without two potential key contributors.
Per the Advocate, CB Rashard Robinson and WR Malachi Dupre didn't travel with the team for the game. Robinson is a likely starter at CB but has been practicing with the second team. According to the Advocate, he's suspended for the game.
Dupre, a freshman, has an ankle injury.
Jalen Collins will start in Robinson's place. Robinson had 16 tackles and an interception in 12 games last season and earned a starting role near the end of the year.
Dupre was a five-star recruit out of New Orleans in the class of 2014 according to Rivals and sprained his ankle last week. He's been expected by many to contribute immediately to LSU's offense much like fellow five-star recruit RB Leonard Fournette. Only three players on LSU's roster had double-digit catches in 2013 (Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham and Jeremy Hill) and all three players are now on NFL rosters.
However, Dupre hadn't been practicing with the starting 11 on offense throughout fall camp either. LSU is expected to play both Brandon Harris and Anthony Jennings at QB against Wisconsin. Coach Les Miles has been adamant about not revealing which quarterback will start.
