A look around the league and the Web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. That's for you, dear reader, to figure out.
C: The Triangle. While much of the attention surrounding the Cleveland Cavaliers' impending acquisition of Kevin Love has focused on the ways in which Love's long-range shooting can open up the floor for soon-to-be teammates LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, Kirk Goldsberry wonders whether it might be healthier for Cleveland's offense for Love to step closer to the basket and double-down on his rebounding work.
PF: Hang Time. John Schuhmann digs into SportVU's optical tracking data to get a feel for how the new-look Cavs might come together on both ends of the floor, and where new head coach David Blatt and company might still have some work to do.
SF: ESPN Playbook. Jordan Brenner does a similar thing differently, and very well.
SG: Sports Illustrated. The great Jack McCallum offers a look inside the life, mind and approach of Blatt, "the Wandering Coach" whose return to the States to lead the Cavaliers just keeps seeming like a sweeter and sweeter gig.
PG: VICE Sports. Delonte West plays with his son, cooks with his wife and talks about trying to write one last NBA chapter.
6th: numberFire. An interesting look from Bryan Mears at how playing a stretch big impacts teams on the defensive end.
7th: The Brooklyn Game. We know that Deron Williams dealt with a variety of foot and ankle injuries this year, but Devin Kharpertian wanted to know if the Brooklyn Nets triggerman was slow relative to his fellow point guards, and whether his average speed could tell us anything about how he managed his health over the course of the year.
8th: Bourbon Street Shots. Anthony Davis might be "next in line" to enter the NBA Most Valuable Player conversation, but is he really all that likely to have a "breakout" performance during the FIBA World Cup?
9th: Eye on Basketball. Matt Moore looks at what was wrong with the Oklahoma City Thunder last year — or, more accurately, Matt Moore looks at the things that people think went wrong with the Thunder last year.
10th: Sactown Royalty. Akis Yerocostas breaks down the logic behind the Sacramento Kings' half of Wednesday's trade with the New York Knicks. It's not exciting, but it's effective.
