While all signs point to Tanner McEvoy being Wisconsin's quarterback against LSU on Saturday, LSU coach Les Miles says his team will use two quarterbacks.
Brandon Harris and Anthony Jennings were listed as the co-starters at quarterback on LSU's depth chart Monday.
"We will play both quarterbacks," Miles said via TigerBait.com. "If there was one quarterback who gave us all the advantages, that guy would be our starter in all situations from start to finish. That separation has not occurred. We are preparing to play both guys."
However, the depth chart does have a big caveat to it. According to TigerBait, there are three changes on it from the one that was issued in July at SEC Media Days. And of the listings on it, Miles doesn't necessarily agree with all of them.
"I didn't give you that depth chart," Miles said. "That was given to you by somebody else. I get my way with the depth chart. This is my way. It's going exactly how I would script it, to be honest."
Not many people publicly know how Miles scripts it. Need proof of how Miles and the depth chart differ? On the depth chart, Elliott Porter is listed as the center and Hoko Fanaika and Evan Washington are tied at right guard.
"If I had to make that decision today, I would think that Ethan Pocic would be our center," Miles said. "Hoko has come on at the back end of camp. I would think that he would start. Washington might still play in spots - not only at guard, but at one of the tackles."
Miles also used the term "deceptively honest" on Monday, something that's truly a Milesian term. What's the difference between being deceptively honest and a truthful liar? Should we ask Wisconsin coach Gary Andersen on Saturday?
