DeAndre Jordan finishes the alley-oop all over Rudy Gobert (Video)

Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan will forever be remembered for his March 2013 dunk on then-Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight, who fell to the ground as if to emphasize just how thoroughly he had been vanquished. Jordan is one of the most ferocious dunkers in NBA history, but it's likely that he will never match this highlight again. It was just that brutal.

If he doesn't, it will not be for lack of trying. Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz attempted to challenge Jordan on an alley-oop from Chris Paul in the second quarter of Monday night's game in Los Angeles. He did not succeed:

Jordan didn't exactly steamroll Gobert — it's more accurate to say that the 22-year-old Frenchman was caught at a bad angle and fell in part due to bad luck. But it wouldn't be wrong to say that Gobert was in bad position because Jordan combines power and athleticism unlike all but maybe one or two other centers in the sport.

Perhaps the best way to note the impressiveness of this dunk is that a second-quarter full-court no-look alley-oop from Paul to Jordan couldn't even make it into the official highlights of the Clippers' 107-101 win. Sometimes a dunk doesn't just blot out defenders, but all other highlights that come after it.
