Watch DeAndre Hopkins not give much effort to recover Houston's final fumble

In the aftermath of a rare good "Thursday Night Football" game, a lot of people were analyzing Houston Texans' receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and not just because he was held to one catch.

With Houston down 33-28 to the Indianapolis Colts just inside the two-minute warning, Texans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was stripped of the ball. And the fumble was coming Hopkins' way. The game, which was between two teams tied for first place in the AFC South, was over if the Colts recovered. And Hopkins, well, let's say he didn't really go all out trying to recover.

Take a look (Hopkins is No. 10, coming from the bottom of the screen):

The Colts recovered, and Hopkins was left to answer for himself.

“I kind of judged it wrong,” Hopkins said, according to the Houston Chronicle. “I couldn’t really see the way it was bouncing. After looking at it, I definitely think I could of dove and got it. Out there on the field, I thought too much.”

Even if Hopkins recovered, the Texans were still deep in their territory, needing a touchdown to win. The Texans chances of winning if Fitzpatrick hadn't fumbled or if Hopkins had fallen on it were fairly low. But they become zero when the Colts got it.

The Texans played incredibly hard to fight back from a 24-0 deficit to have a chance to beat the Colts. For the rest of the Texans, they might also wonder what Hopkins was doing on that fumble.
