It's been a troubling time for Jurgen Klopp. Borussia Dortmund are off to their worst start in 15 years and now he has employees of opposing clubs publicly expressing their support and making him feel super awkward.
Following Dortmund's 3-0 DFB Pokal win at St. Pauli, a woman in a Dortmund apron stood between him and the reporters congregated for his press conference to read a heartfelt letter. "You have taken us to success and now we take you through the crisis," she told Klopp.
Though he eventually hugged her and signed an autograph, it was clear that this show of support in front of the press made him really uncomfortable.
"If such declarations of love are necessary, then the s*** has really hit the fan," he said. Meanwhile, a St. Pauli spokesman jokingly asked if the woman was going to offer a marriage proposal.
So how did this scene come about? According to Bild, the woman is St. Pauli's caterer, so she had access to these parts of the second division club's Millerntor-Stadion. Whether she retains that access after this remains to be seen, but Dortmund could use her support if she needs a new job.
