LeBron James and wife Savannah Brinson have welcomed their 3rd child, a baby girl

LeBron James is set to have a busy Thursday when he begins his second stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers in a matchup with the New York Knicks. Yet it turns out that the four-time MVP and two-time NBA champion already underwent an even bigger personal milestone last week.

LeBron's wife Savannah Brinson gave birth to the couple's third child on October 22 in Ohio, according to a report from E! Online. The new baby, their first girl, joins brothers LeBron Jr. (10 years old) and Bryce (seven years old), who you may know from their father's Samsung ads and the eldest's burgeoning hoops career. James and Brinson have been together since high school but married a little more than a year ago in San Diego.

The name of the newest James child has yet to be confirmed, but LeBron appeared to reveal it in a photo posted to Instagram during the couple's "babymoon" in Mykonos this August:

Mykonos Greece is spectacular! Push gift to my wife@mrs_savannahrj! Zhuri hurry up and get here so your daddy and 2 brothers can annoy you! Lol.

"Zhuri" is likely an alternate form of the Swahili name "Zuri," which means "good" or "beautiful" and apparently also belongs to a character on the Disney Channel series "Jessie."

The baby's birth finishes off a busy offseason for LeBron, who left the Miami Heat in free agency to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, saw the premiere of a TV series based on his life, and saw his popularity reach new heights overall. Although I'm sure he would say that the birth of his new baby girl tops all those achievements.

It remains to be seen if Zhuri will follow in her father's footsteps and make her mark in the world of sports, but it's a safe bet that there will be a lot of interest in her abilities on the court. Perhaps the eventual LeBron James of women's basketball will literally carry his DNA.
