Roy Keane says Jose Mourinho's early handshake routine is 'disgraceful' and might get him knocked out

International Roy Keane week continues with the gruff Irishman's thoughts on fellow sharp tongued hot-head, Jose Mourinho. The Chelsea manager attempted to shake hands with Paul Lambert and Keane before the final whistle blew on his side's 3-0 win over Aston Villa last month, but the two Villa men rebuffed him — Lambert by pointing at his watch and Keane by staring straight ahead as fire shot out of his eyes.

At the launch event for his new book, Keane shared his thoughts on the matter, saying that Mourinho's ill-timed handshake offers would get him punched if he tried it in a Sunday league.

From the Guardian:

You didn’t look impressed by José Mourinho trying to shake your hand the other week?

No, because the game is still going on.

Why did he do it? Was it him after power too?

I don’t mind all that but the game is still going on. It’s disgraceful. I’ve seen him doing it to other managers; it is a disgrace. The game is still going on. You wouldn’t do that on a Sunday morning, you would get knocked out.

With that settled, Keane was later asked about his taste in music, having mentioned in his book that he found "Dancing Queen" by Abba to be innapropriate in the dressing room before a match. This brought up his repressed appreciation for Boy George.

Finally Roy, if Dancing Queen by Abba is the wrong song for the dressing room, what’s the right song?

Strangely enough, the music didn’t bother me in terms of getting motivated. So I don’t think I have a song that I could throw at you that would get me going. But I don’t think it would be Abba.

Hang about, your first single was Karma Chameleon?

[Pointing angrily] I was 12!

Whatever you say, Roy. Whatever you say.
