One of the mainstays of the Camping World Truck Series is reportedly stopping operations.
Motorsport.com reports that Turner Scott Motorsports has suspended operations and the team's employees were notified of the decision on Wednesday.
Turner Scott fields trucks for Ron Hornaday and Ben Kennedy in the Truck Series as well as a third truck that has had a rotating cast of drivers.
If the Turner Scott trucks don't compete at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park this weekend, the truck count for the race drops from 29 to 26, 10 trucks below a full field in the series. If the team doesn't return, it's a huge blow to the health of a series that has had a full field of trucks four times in 13 races this season. Just 14 drivers (including Scott and Kennedy) have competed in all 13 races.
Hornaday is fourth in the points standings while Kennedy is ninth.
