Former Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater might be gone to the NFL, but he hasn’t forgotten the team and the fans that helped him get there.
On Tuesday, Bridgewater took out a full-page ad in the Louisville student newspaper, The Cardinal News, thanking the fans and wishing Louisville luck on the upcoming season.
Look at the message from Teddy Bridgewater on the back of the @TheCardinalNews newspaper! How awesome! #ThanksTeddy http://ift.tt/1t9UBqp

Here’s the text of the ad:
“Thank you Louisvilel Cardinals family and community for the love you showed me over the years. Best of luck to the 2014 team and beyond. Louisville first- Cards forever.”
This is a classy gesture by Bridgewater. Not sure how many former quarterbacks would take out a full-page ad thanking their former fan base and team, but it’s clear Bridgewater’s time at Louisville meant a lot to him and he wanted to show it.
