Eagles' LeSean McCoy leaves game vs. Steelers, has X-ray of thumb

LeSean McCoy's toe seemed fine when he scored a terrific touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday night.

But now the Philadelphia Eagles running back has a new potential worry: his thumb.

McCoy scored on a brilliant 22-yard screen play in the first quarter but then left the field. He had suffered a toe injury last week, which cropped up during the Eagles' joint practices with the New England Patriots. Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said McCoy's toe was fine, and the touchdown — and McCoy's four rushes for 24 yards — certainly seemed to back that up.

McCoy later was seen back on the sideline, but there was no news on his status. We'll update you on the status of McCoy's thumb when we get more information.
