I know we've seen the whole "J.J. Watt has a ridiculous box jump" thing before, but I'm here to say that I'm not going to tire of it anytime soon.
Watt, who should have won NFL MVP last season after having an all-time dominant season with the Houston Texans, says he weighs 293 pounds. And he's one of the league's best athletes, which is a reason nobody can block him.
So he set up a 61-inch platform to jump on, to prove his ridiculous explosiveness.
Watt was pretty fired up (and remembered to plug his new sponsor, Reebok), probably because he had been working on a 5-foot jump and it hadn't worked out so well.
I'd say it worked out a lot worse for his spotter.
But the jump is a good reminder that it won't be too long until we're watching Watt do unfathomable things on a football field again.
