NFL owners, execs view powerful video on domestic violence awareness

The NFL's owners and team executives have just watched a powerful new video on domestic violence. Take less than two minutes right now and view it yourself.

The speaker is John Ehrmann, a retired NFL linebacker who played in the 70s and 80s. He asks you, in simple, direct language, to envision the significant women in your life being harassed, or worse, by a man. Then he asks you, in more direct language, to do what you can to raise a generation of men who don't accept this conduct, who aren't afraid to call out other men. It's a lesson you wouldn't think needed to be taught, but the past few weeks have shown us that domestic violence is far too low on the societal priority scale.

The NFL has worked hard to repair the enormous self-inflicted damage to its own image in the wake of a range of domestic violence cases. This video was part of an overall session aimed at team executives in an effort to begin a top-down distribution of the NFL's new message of awareness and responsibility.
