Louisville star WR DeVante Parker likely to play against Clemson

Louisville coach Bobby Petrino said Monday that star receiver DeVante Parker could be back for Saturday’s game against Clemson.

Parker suffered a fractured bone in his left foot — an injury that required surgery — during practice in August and has yet to play a game this season.

Parker, a 6-foot-3, 208-pound senior, led the Cardinals in receiving yards and touchdowns last year. In absence the Cardinals are 5-1.

Petrino said he wasn’t sure who would potentially be throwing to Parker on Saturday. Both Reggie Bonnafon and Will Gardner will practice this week. Gardner was the team’s starter before being missing the past two games with injury. Bonnafon has filled in admirably and is 2-0 as a starter.
