Welcome to our Dr. Saturday feature titled "Random offseason tweet of the day." With real games still months away, coaches and players will be tweeting about non-football-related things as the season approaches. In this space, we'll try to find the funniest and goofiest tweets of the day. If you see something, don't hesitate to send it to us.
This has been a good week for Pac-12 coaches and rock stars.
First, Arizona State head coach Todd Graham bought the home of Poison frontman and reality television star Bret Michaels. Monday night, Utah’s Kyle Whittingham, along with his brother, Fred, the Utes’ director of player personnel, scored some backstage passes to the KISS concert in Salt Lake City.
Like any good fan would do, the Whittinghams posed for a picture with the band and got them to throw up the “U” in this legendary photo.
The Salt Lake City gig was the first show of KISS’ 42-date summer tour with Def Leppard, so the Whittinghams got to see two legendary rock bands in one night.
All they need to do now is get Gene Simmons and company to come out to Rice-Eccles Stadium for a Utes game.
