UCLA's hire of Tom Bradley as the Bruins' new defensive coordinator is official.
“To bring a coach of Tom Bradley’s caliber to UCLA is very exciting,” UCLA coach Jim Mora said in a statement. “His knowledge of the game, extensive experience, level of intensity and attention to detail all make him one of the best defensive teachers in college football. Combine that with the fact that he has strong national recruiting ties and is one of the most well respected coaches in the game - it all adds up to Tom being a tremendous addition to our staff.”
Bradley, who was with West Virginia in 2014, was mentioned as UCLA's likely hire last week. Former UCLA DC Jeff Ulbrich left around National Signing Day for a coaching position with the Atlanta Falcons. Bradley also served as Penn State's interim coach after Joe Paterno was fired. He was with Penn State for 32 seasons.
UCLA also announced that linebackers and special teams coach Mike Tuiasosopo wouldn't return for the 2015 season. Scott White will take his place. White has been with UCLA the past four seasons.
