Bill Snyder sent West Virginia quarterback Clint Trickett a note after their game in Morgantown, W. Va.
The Wildcats beat the Mountaineers 26-20 on November 20 and Trickett had to be replaced by backup Skyler Howard after Trickett suffered a concussion. On Tuesday, Trickett posted a picture of a note he received from Snyder about the game and the injury.
Snyder sends notes after noteworthy games, including to Texas Tech's Jace Amaro last season and to North Dakota State quarterback Brock Jensen after the Bison beat the Wildcats in 2013.
The notes are a great gesture, and they all have a common theme – Snyder's writing format. As you can see in Trickett's picture, Snyder writes diagonally on the paper rather than horizontally. Given his meticulousness, there has to be a reason for it.
