USC’s bad week just got worse after running back Anthony Brown quit the football team and alleged racism by coach Steve Sarkisian on his way out the door.
Brown posted the following photo on his Instagram account on Thursday and wrote, "Sark treated me like a slave in his Office... Can't play for a racist MAN!!!!! #Fighton."
News of his departure from the program followed shortly afterward.
Sark returns to media to inform us that RB Anthony Brown is no longer on the team. #USC

Sarkisian noted that Brown wanted to switch from cornerback to tailback, but he was injured during fall camp. He said that he thought Brown could help the team and tried to talk him out of quitting. He was surprised to hear of Brown’s allegations.
Brown's IG had a claim saying Sark treated him like a slave. Sark calls accusations "ridiculous."

The slave remark on Brown's IG cites meeting he had in Sark's office. Sark said he had no idea Brown felt like that. "I'm shocked" #USC

USC nose tackle Antwaun Woods took to Twitter to defend his coach:
Coach Sark is a great person/Coach! Please disregard comments that have been made by someone.

Brown played in 19 games at cornerback during his three seasons with the Trojans and made six starts.
The news of Brown’s departure, and the allegations that followed it, comes just a day after USC senior captain Josh Shaw acknowledged he lied about injuring his ankles while saving his 7-year-old nephew from a pool.
If anyone needs a game as a distraction right now, it’s USC. The Trojans open their season against Fresno State on Saturday.
