Giants' Jason Pierre-Paul heads to locker room with injury

The New York Giants are off to a pretty awful start on Monday Night Football.

After allowing a 67-yard touchdown to the Detroit Lions' Calvin Johnson on the first series of the game, the Giants' next defensive series was plagued by defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul going down and clutching his shoulder.

Pierre-Paul missed five games last season with a shoulder injury.

Pierre-Paul, who looked great during the preseason, could be heard yelling as trainers worked on him on the field. ESPN's Lisa Salters reported on the game broadcast that trainers were concerned with the way Pierre-Paul's neck bent.

As a precaution, Pierre-Paul was taken to the locker room for further evaluation.

Oh, and Johnson burned the Giants for his second touchdown and a 14-0 lead.
