If you're among the less-than-one-percent of Yahoo fantasy managers who started Jacksonville receiver Allen Hurns in Week 1 ... well, wow. Maybe send us a resumé. Well done.
That's some Jedi-level fantasy management right there.

Hurns is an undrafted rookie out of Miami who didn't necessarily wow anyone with his pre-draft measurables (4.55 speed, 31-inch vert), but the kid had a massive preseason for the Jaguars (14-232-1). He's not a blazer, but he seems to have no problem separating from NFL defensive backs. Hurns has size (6-foot-3) and quality hands, plus he's shown a nice ability to adjust to imperfect throws (a necessity for a Jags receiver). He was plenty productive as a collegiate receiver, catching 62 balls for 1162 yards in 2013.
This was the first regular season catch of Hurns' pro career , a 34-yard highlight grab that resulted in a score. His second reception became a 21-yard TD. His third was a field-flipping 46-yard catch. The Jacksonville receiving corps is light on talent on its best days, and hamstring issues have struck Cecil Shorts and Allen Robinson recently, creating the opportunity for Hurns.
As of this writing, with most of the early games at halftime, the rookie is the top-scoring fantasy asset of 2014, regardless of position. So he's basically the frontrunner for offensive player of the year, rookie of the year, and fantasy MVP.
If you're among the privileged few who started him today, go ahead and take a victory lap in comments. You've earned it, gamer. The rest of us will be placing claims, quietly.
